Friendships become more important as your child grows older. Secret codes, made-up languages, passwords, rituals, and rules are formed, strengthening the ever important friendship bonds. At this age, your child often enjoys being a member of a club or organized group. Your child probably wants to spend more time with friends than parents, and tend to think that he does not need adult care or supervision.
